My experience on TV. Social King.

Social King is an Italian TV Show, produced by RAI Ragazzi. It’s been going on, every weekend, for more than a month.
As it already happened to other Italian YouTubers, I was invited to take part in the so called “first italian game show”. It’s, in fact, a live show which viewers can interact with, by commenting and voting for their favorite challengers on the related Facebook page.

In order to get on my contestant’s duty, last thursday I left Pescara, where we’ve been working on MeetingLife. I slept a couple of hours in Rome and I got on the 8.15am flight to show up, after a shower and a quick look at the hotel’s bed, at the RAI studios in Turin.
That is where I met the other contestants and, along with them, I got mentally and physically ready for the live show.
We met the two hosts, the beautiful Metis and the likable Livio who, along with all the staff, led us through the tv world making sure that we were comfortable the whole time, even though we were forced to do unpleasant physical exercises

Even though we were stressed by the high temperature and the tv environment’s traffic, we were able to find a good balance.

The day ended with a dinner between contestants during which everyone was trying to get their challengers drunk in order to have more chances to win
the day after.

A few sleeping hours later, we were together again, in a room where very expert people were trying to make ourselves fit to be seen by the part of the population who would watch the show.

We were very surprised to see that the attractive host puts up with a lot more pain.

With so much make up on, like we were photoshopped, we went back to the studios and repeated the microphone practice that made my challengers a little nervous.

Just the time to do rehearse a little more and use the toilet for the last time that the show begun.

In order to relieve the strain caused by the several cameras pointed at me, Idecided to take mine out too, so that i could fight back.

My fast hits and my ridiculous singing performance weren’t enough to gain audience’ regard. It was Domenico who became the social networks’ king making everyone else going desperate.

After his first “jus first noctis”, the Social King blessed his subjects ending our tv experience that way.

During the last coffee with my new friends, in the most suitable cafe in town,
I started thinking of the great opportunity i was given: telling such a big audience about my project.

It was fun.
